Organic - de|constructed collection

This is one of the pieces inspired on nature.  I'm exploring new materials and it resulted in a new collection with a strong organic touch.

de|constructed 2.0 - Organic

Still exploring new materials. This one is the nature approach resulting in organic jewelry.

Raw, unprocessed materials to bring the woods to my mind. It's also rediscovering beauty in a primitive condition.

de|constructed Jewelry 1. 2

My work in progress goes on. Those are the latest pieces. If the brass material looks old, it's because they actually are. The brass pieces I found in an iron shop and I'm not giving any treatment at all because I want to keep the raw identity. If you would like to see the other pieces of the same collection you can check it here

Black/Metallic

For the past months I've been more inclined to create some jewelry pieces than "style" myself, that's why it was very quite here on the blog. While my craft work is still in progress I wanted to show how I'm using the metal trend.

de|constructed Jewelry

I've been crafting a jewelry collection. While some pieces are ready the research continues. This time I took a completely different approach. In the beginning the all idea came from this specific quote:

"I think perfection is ugly. Somewhere in the things humans make, I want to see scars, failure, disorder, distortion." - Yohji Yamamoto

With Yamamoto's concept in mind the search has led me to Brutalism architecture. Pieces are geometric arranged, imperfect, raw material, unexpected forms. The challenge will be finding beauty in the process of deconstruction vs new construction. It feels good to break some rules to find some unexpected form take place. I want to create something for myself I don't see everyday. I wanted to find the feeling of "owning" the piece from the very first beginning. Will be a slow process but so very liberating.

Here are some pieces of the collection I named de|constructed.

Silence

I've been silent here in the blog. Well, sometimes the only conversation I need is with myself. But I'm still admiring beautiful things, absorbing and watching the world on my own time. I thank you all for continuously support even while I'm on path.

This is how I feel from time to time.

“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
